About Your Trip

I will provide you with knowledge on:

  • The relationship of muskies to specific structure and applied techniques to use.
  • The relationship of muskies to baitfish.
  • Seasonal patterns of muskies and forage.
  • The effect of weather changes on muskies.
  • The correct presentation and selection of lures for specific applications.
  • The correct use of all equipment.
  • Specific knowledge regarding Side Imaging and Live Scope
  • The best way to handle and release the fish.

Equipment provided to you:

  • Ranger 620VS with a Yamaha 250
  • Garmin, Lowrance, and Humminbird depthfinders with Lakemaster and Navionics chips. My boat has the latest in Side Imaging and Live Scope technologies
  • Elliott Rods
  • Shimano TRANX, Calcutta 400TE/401TE reels spooled with 80# Cortland Masterbraid.
  • Frabill Big Kahuna landing net and all other release tools.
  • A wide selection of quality lures. I would prefer if lures were not brought, however a small selection is reasonable.

Equipment you will need to bring:

  • Minnesota fishing license
  • Polarized sunglasses
  • Rain gear
  • The correct clothing for the time of year
  • Sunscreen
  • Lunch, but water will be provided. A break is sometimes taken in the afternoon during a full day.

Half-Day Trip

  • This is a four-hour trip that takes place during the morning or evening, which is decided when the trip is booked. Lunar times are discussed when the trip is made and guidance will be given.

Six-Hour Trip

  • This trip is chosen when a half-day isn’t quite enough time on the water and a full day is too much. Similarly to the half-day, it takes place during the morning or the evening.

Full-Day Trip

  • This is the most common trip option and will give the client a solid shot at catching a musky. The trip hours may take place consecutively or it may be split to fish during the morning and evening. The guide will make the decision days prior to give the client the best chance at boating a musky.

Endurance Trip

  • This is a thirteen-hour enduring trip that is designed for relentless individuals. It is not a secret that musky anglers success is a direct result to their time spent on the water. This trip is tailored to resilient anglers that are physically and mentally prepared to spend the entire day on the water chasing muskies. It is common during this trip to fish multiple lakes utilizing different tactics. The thirteen hours is consecutive and does not include drive time to other lakes. This will give the client the best chance at boating a musky.

13 Hours
Cancellations less than two weeks of the scheduled trip will be required to pay the full amount of the trip.
